Conservation & environmental land management advice for farmers & landmanagers
Littlewood Land Care - Carol Littlewood set up Littlewood Land Care consultancy in 2009, offering conservation and environmental advice to farmers and landmangers, predominantly in Angus.
This followed 10 years working for Angus Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group, 7 years of which were as the Farm Conservation Adviser Carol became a full member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM) and a Chartered Environmentalist, accredited by the Society for the Environment, in 2007. Carol is a LANTRA Accredited trainer, member of the Tayside Biodiversity Partnership Steering Group, joint Chair of the Partnership's Farmland & Upland Subgroup and is also a member of the South Esk Catchment Partnership.
Carol's wide range of work experience brings a range of valuable knowledge to the work she can deliver for landowners and landmanagers. Her background in agriculture, science and environment all compliment the range of work she can carry out and enable Carol to design schemes and carry out audits to a high standard and delivering a variety of aims. She can deliver projects and provide individually tailored advice to maximise the environmental benefits your land can provide, alongside an efficient agricultural business. When working on agri-environment plans she can put together schemes that deliver both for the environmental priorities and the benefit of the farm business, as she has an understanding of how the plan can be implemented. She can design schemes to benefit specific habitats and species to deliver under the Scottish Rural Development Programme (SRDP) Rural Priorities, as well as giving advice more generally on farm conservation. Carol's consultancy experience has been used by a range of landowners and landmangers throughout Angus and more widely when delivering work for FWAG Scotland Ltd at a national level.
